"Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer" by John Grisham

Title: Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer
Author: John Grisham
Series: Theodore Boone #1
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Purchase: Amazon | Barnes & Noble

In the small city of Strattenburg, there are many lawyers, and though he's only thirteen years old, Theo Boone thinks he's one of them. Theo knows every judge, policeman, court clerk – and a lot about the law. He dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of a life in the courtroom. But Theo finds himself in court much sooner than expected. Because he knows so much – maybe too much – he is suddenly dragged into the middle of a sensational murder trial. A cold-blooded killer is about to go free, and only Theo knows the truth. The stakes are high, but Theo won't stop until justice is served.

I'm not usually one to read something absolutely romance-less, but I do enjoy a great adventure.

John Grisham writes amazing books. Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer is light, fun, and just the perfect thing when you want an adventure that you're not likely to experience yourself. It is filled with intrigue and suspense, and slight twists that I didn't personally see coming.

Theo is definitely your typical teenager, thinking big things and feeling that he knows what's going on. He's then dragged into something a thirteen year old should probably never experience, and yet is something everyone dreams of being a part of. I know I've always wanted to be a part of a great life-threatening adventure, only with the guarantee that I make it home alive and well. This is the perfect story to fill those needs.

I highly recommend this book, and the rest of the series, though I have not had the chance to read the rest.
